• Hill Foundation Fellowship for research at University of Minnesota (1967-68)
• Senior Fellowship of the Alexander Von Humboldt Foundation, West Germany. (1977-78, 3 months in 1980 and 5 months in 1994)
• National Science Foundation (USA) Award of an International Cooperative Project, “Heat Transfer in Arc Welding” (1986-89). US Collaborator. Prof. CJ Cremers, Univ of Kentucky
• “Om Prakash Bhasin Award in Science & Technology – 1991” in the area of Aerospace / Space.
